Based from the case Noten BV v Harding, where the immediate cause of wet damage to the consignment of gloves were shipped wet which with the excessive moisture given the conditions in which they are expected to be carried. The result of the gloves being shipped wet was that the water from the gloved migrated to the roof of the container and form condensation so that when colder weather was encountered, moisture then fell back on to the gloves.
Based on the situation, explain the proximate cause and the rule of thumb for the above case.
