Overview:
Throughout this course, we will explore ways to improve the organizations in which you can work. The ways we can improve organizations is through management and leadership, and therefore, it is necessary to examine the complexity of many of the issues managers and leaders face. This is particularly critical in understanding issues of strategic management, organizational culture, organizational change and development, and managing organizational growth. These topics are inherently complex and interdisciplinary and require knowledge of many fields. For your final project, you will select an organization and create a PowerPoint analyzing its strategic positioning.
You will add your organizational analysis by conducting a SWOT analysis and exploring the business strategies and structure of the organization.
Instructions:
A. Conduct a SWOT Analysis, including competitors.
B. Describe the business strategies. Questions to consider can include:
a. What is one specific strategy the organization is pursuing?
b. Does the organization have a competitive advantage?
C. Describe the organization's structure. Questions to consider can include:
a. How compatible is the structure of its business strategy? o Why do you feel it is compatible, or not?
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
o The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
o The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
