Homework: Communication Analysis
Length: 4 to 6 Pages.
This homework provides students with the opportunity to explore a specific organizational process from a communications perspective. Students will select an area of focus in an organization in which they are active, or of which they are very familiar. Suggested topics include:
i. Meeting Effectiveness
ii. Decision-making Processes
iii. Conflict Management Processes
iv. Change and Leadership Processes
v. Emotions in the Workplace
vi. Diversity Processes
Using the concepts, theories, and models from the course texts, students should observe how their selected organization is behaving relative to their chosen topic. What is working? What is not working? Students should provide a description of current practices with examples to illustrate their points. What is needed to improve performance in this area? Students should directly apply some of the concepts discussed in class to the situation, and provide feedback on the results achieved. What happened when the changes were implemented?
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
