Homework: Evaluation Framework
In order to plan a program evaluation, we must first understand the program and the needs of the population served.
For this homework, you will compose the following components:
Identify and describe a child protection program in your community (you may use the program described in Discussion Post #2).
Program: Texas Department of Family and Protective Services
i. What is the mission of the program and specific population served?
ii. What services does this program provide?
iii. In what way does this particular program address a significant need in the community? Make sure to cite the relevant literature to support the need for the program.
iv. In what way(s) would the program benefit from an evaluation?
v. If you were hired as an external evaluator to evaluate this program, what are some initial steps you would take to plan this evaluation?
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
