Let's say you are on Spring Break vacation in Florida. As you are crossing the street, a drunk driver runs the red light and hits you as you are in the crosswalk. You are injured and lose a leg. When you finally get out of the hospital, you return to your home and contact your local attorney about filing a lawsuit against the drunk driver.
