Problem: Philosophically speaking, the rights of future generations are the rights of humanity to continue its existence. The need to extend the human genetic 'message' into the future is deeply embedded in human biology and psychology. In essence, we are protecting ourselves and humanity by protecting future generations.It's no secret that many young people certainly are incredibly concerned about climate change. Studies have found high levels of climate anxiety among youth today. In a 2021 survey of 10,000 16-25-year-olds across 10 countries, 75% agreed that the "future is frightening" due to climate change, while 56% considered that "humanity was doomed".
