In 2016 the Homeland Security Committee of the United States House of Representatives issued a report on the challenges for law enforcement accessing encrypted evidence. The report evaluates different themes and considerations of encryption in the light of the dispute between the Apple and the FBI on accessing encrypted data on the iPhone of the one of the suspects in the San Bernardino shooting.
