Problem
i. Corporate investigators conduct internal and external investigations for corporations. In internal investigations, they may investigate drug use in the workplace, ensure that expense accounts are not abused, or determine whether employees are stealing assets, merchandise, or information. External investigations attempt to thwart criminal schemes from outside the corporation, such as fraudulent billing by a supplier. Investigators may spend months posing as employees of the company in order to find misconduct. How would one go about doing this type of work? In otherwords, explain in detail how one would market this type of business and conduct an investigation.
ii. As stated numerous times in class having a niche is important. There are numerous investigators in this state that are waiting to do the same thing that you are doing. The key to getting the business is developing a niche of your own from utilizing your background and experience (not necessarily in the investigations industry). What is going to be your niche and how are you going to market it?
