What is the ethical position to take on the role of higher education in relation to formal or informal job training?
If someone came to you and asked if they should go to college in order to be a police officer, what would you tell them?
Some careers are required to have a college degree. Nursing, teaching and accounting are just some of the jobs that require a degree.
However, do you need a degree to be a business owner? Do you need a degree to be a writer? What about a journalist? A reporter?
Something else to consider when thinking about a college degree is the cost. How will the degree be paid for?
