Discussion Post: Ambulatory Care
1. Select a healthcare organization or ambulatory care company of your choice and discuss their current strategy in the community, benefits to patients, benefits to third party payers, and reasons why they are moving to these strategies.
2. Remember in choosing an organization you can select a for profit, not-for-profit, large organization, small organization or potentially a company that is addressing this ambulatory care model.
3. Utilize scholarly literature to support your points.
• Some questions to consider in your discussion post could be: Is this a good strategy? Why or why not? Will this type of health care delivery be sustainable in the future? What is driving the change culturally, economically, legally, and regulatory?
4. Share three innovative ideas on how to improve patient flow and indicate how these ideas could help to improve the quality of care and experience for patients.
