Problem: Visit the Learning for Justice Site: CULTURE IN THE CLASSROOM
You may select any area of the resources available on this website. However, I highly recommend you select "PLAN BUILDER" (which Plan did you select using the filter?) and develop a plan that will be relevant to you based on your chosen grade level. After exploring this site and completing the assigned readings, write an essay 2-3 pages by responding to all of these four questions by weaving them into your essay. When answering the questions, always keep in mind what Plan you have in mind. Then, incorporate responses to the questions below in your essay.
1. What is culturally relevant pedagogy?
2. How do teachers learn about their students' cultural perspectives and practices?
3. What are some ways in which teachers can view the cultures of their students without stereotyping them?
4. Write essential questions (Wiggins) on the Culture Plan you have chosen.
