Assignment: Cloud computing and Healthcare data security
Shifting to digital records and implementing EHR capabilities, healthcare providers are now able to store all information offsite. This concept became more important and convenient in the healthcare industry; meaning, all digital data needs to be accessible to healthcare providers from various locations when needed, which put the need for strong healthcare data security as a top priority. In my paper, I will be covering:
1. What is could computing;
2. Benefits for cloud computing to all sectors within the healthcare industry;
3. Key security concerns regarding the safety of data and records;
4. Security approaches and measures used to secure data in the cloud;
5. HIPAA regulations regarding cloud computing;
6. Examples of companies best known for their cloud computing technologies (who provide best cloud computing technology to hospitals);
7. Examples of hospitals uses cloud computing in the US.
