Problem:
Hello everyone, I believe that hiring minorities is beneficial for the community. If the police force is just as diverse as the community, it makes the police seem more relatable. If you see someone that looks like you and has had a similar upbringing. This can also be more beneficial for law enforcement, having a diverse police force allows for police to have some way to relate to different individuals.
I think the struggles would depend on the individual, if that person grew up in or around gangs and had friends in gangs then joined the criminal justice system, their past could be used against them. They could also face backlash from past friends that are still living that lifestyle. Give a quality response to this post!
