Discussion Post: Poverty - Gender, Race & Class
• Explain in 1-2 paragraphs how and why the poor stay poor. Include in your response the term "cycle of poverty" and explain it. Offer concrete examples from the readings to back you up.
• Research what is being done in your area to help the poor and homeless. (You can research your town, city, county, or state. Write about non-profits or governmental programs). If not enough is being done this is significant.
