(1) What is BCG matrix? Why do we need BCG matrix? How we can use BCG matrix for effective strategic formulation?
(2) How do you categorize various Monsanto's products/services into one of four categories of BCG matrix (Cash Cows, Stars, Question Marks, and Dogs)? Why do you think so? I am looking for your own ideas and logic!
(3) Have your SWOT matrix of Monsanto ready (You already have SWOT matrix of Monsanto through previous modules, do you remember?). Then, find or develop SO (strengths- opportunities) Strategies, WO (weaknesses-opportunities) Strategies, ST (strengths-threats) Strategies, WT (weaknesses-threats) Strategies of Monsanto. Needless to say, please check your competitive profile matrix of Monsanto which you already developed previously AND your own BCG matrix of Monsanto in this journal.
