What is asynchronous DRAM?
In asynchronous DRAM, the timing of the memory device is controlled asynchronously. A specialized memory controller circuit gives the essential control signals RAS and CAS that govern the timing. The processor must take into account the delay in the response of the memory such memories are asynchronous DRAM.
