What is another way to look at this issue

Problem:

What is another way to look at this issue? Provide a different alternative perspective to think broadly of this chapter's issues. It is important to also see it from different perspectives. It helps us to see as social workers that there are many ways to view an issue (something we see as an injustice may not be seen as one by others, some people may view social problems and blame the individual without looking at the environmental conditions, etc). For example, if Flint's water crisis is painted as a policy problem (like rules or procedures weren't followed) another way we could view it is as a socioeconomic issue - because this is more than just rules and procedures, there's an intersectionality to the injustice of the way it focused on race and economic minorities. Or, we can see that Flint is highlighting the experiences of parents who are reporting their family trials - we can see it from the perspective of the children of these homes who have their own unique experiences. What you don't want to do is take a detail and dig deeper into it. For example - if the chapter is alluding to flawed leadership - we don't want to continue discussing the flawed leadership or leadership. Instead, we want to look at it differently like someone else looking in. Need Assignment Help?
