Part 1: What is an instance in modern America of people following a trend set by the President or a member of the President's family, or any other other high-ranking government official? Describe the trend.

Part 2: Charlemagne was the chief trendsetter in his realm in his day. Is the President of the United States the chief trendsetter in contemporary America? If that role is generally left to others, who exactly are the contemporary American trendsetters? What are some of the trends?
Part 3: How do the contemporary trends compare with the study of Latin, as in Charlemagne's day? Do contemporary trends seem as noble and lofty as studying Latin?
