what is a dot size and interdot distance dot size

What is a dot size and interdot distance?

Dot size may be explained as the diameter of a single dot on the devices output. Dot size is also known as the Spot size.

Interdot distance is the reciprocal of addressability. If the addressability is large,  the interdot distance will be less. The interdot distance should be less to get smooth shapes.
