The answer to each of the four discussion questions should be about one page length. The responses should be formatted as double-spaced, in a 12-point font with one-inch margins. If available, cite the articles properly in the body of your responses and provide references at the end.
1. What is a business process? Why is adopting a process view of organizations essential to becoming a successful manager?
2. What is an enterprise system? Discuss the three types of data in an enterprise system and how they are related?
3. Imagine that you have been appointed the chief information officer of a start-up company that rents out DVDs via the Internet. An integrated information system is critical to your business. Write a memo to the CEO highlighting the reasons why you need an ERP system.
4. Based on the emerging technology presentations (presented by all groups), discuss the lessons you have learned from those presentation and the role of emerging technologies in supply chain management.
