Pardee School Professor Mahesh Karra has just published an article deploying the 'Randomized Control Trial' method to examine the impact of family planning on women's contraceptive use and birth spacing in Malawi. What is the importance of birth spacing for women's maternal health? Look at Table 2 in the paper. In the two columns are listed the coefficients and underneath are the standard errors and the confidence intervals (for instance, '[0.022, 0.092]' the first is the standard error, followed by the confidence interval. What is the dependent variable in this regression? What is the independent variable? To what extent is there a significant relationship between the two and what indicators point to that conclusion?
