Prokaryotic cells, such as bacteria, use binary fission rather than mitosis for cellular reproduction. After going through mitosis you would probably agree that binary fission is much simpler. Reflect on why our cells have to use mitosis and what would happen if our cells used binary fission instead.
Alternatively, you can write a post that imagines a world in which meiosis does not include crossing over or independent orientation. What impact would that have on the world? Be sure to go into enough detail.
