Look at one of your social media accounts and select one friend from this site. Go to his or her site and look at how many friends he or she has.
Now choose one of the friends who is not a friend of yours and go to his or her site. Note how many friends this person has.
Share the total combined number of people who these two people are connected to (and yes, there may be some overlap).
What impact could this have on your networking abilities if you could reach out to only a half, or even a third, of this number of people?
