About 4.95 billion people around the world use the internet in January 2022 - equivalent to 62.5 percent of the world's total population. Access to the Internet is a key factor in advancing economic activity and expanding educational opportunities. However, Internet access in rural Manitoba, Africa and some certain developing countries continues to trail that of the rest of the world.

i. What factors must have impeded Internet access for most people in rural Manitoba, Africa and some other parts of the world?
