What factor does the mean drop size change

In water a designer specifies a system for forming a dispersion of cyclohexane. Water at 25C flows at a rate of 9L/MIN thru a pipe of inside the diameter 5cm and the axial length 1m. The volume fraction of cyclohexane in the water is 0.005. The inlet tube diameter is 10mm. Explain what mean drop size do you calculate?

1. Assume the volumetric flow rate is doubled. Explain by what factor does the mean drop size change?

2. Assume the diameter of the pipe is increased by a factor of 2, w/t any change in flow rate (i.e., still at 9L/Min). Explain by what factor does the mean drop size change?
