Declaring Freedom from Colonial Control.
i. Who is the "enemy" according to the document, and what measures does it envision to ensure freedom from the enemy?
ii. What elements of this document make It a liberal declaration? Are there elements that are more conservative? How would you explain the mixture of ideas it represents?
iii. Do you see any potential for conflict between the religious monopoly vested in the catholic Church and the sovereignty of the people as represented by the national congress? How do you think Morelos would respond to such a concern?
