In the book Nuer Dilemmas: Coping with money, War, and the State, Sharon Hutchinson is working with people of the same tribe that Evans-Pritchard worked with some 50-60 years earlier. Compare and contrast their works in terms of: what were their aims? To whom did them have access? What elements of political structure were of interest to them, and how had those elements changed throughout the 20th century? How were their fieldwork experiences different, based on differences between them and changes among the Nuer?
