The RICE Procedure is recommended for soft tissue injuries. It is also used for care of other health problems. Initiate a web search for "RICE Procedure". A good place to start is to use Google (opens in a new window). You may need to refine the search. Look for an article about the use of the RICE procedure for something other than a minor, soft tissue injury. Do not use a website used by a student who posted before you and be sure that the web address is accurate and will link. There are six issues you must address:
What is the RICE procedure? (What do each of the letters in the acronymn represent?)
What protocol do the electronic article recommend in the application of the RICE procedure?
For what medical problem is this article recommending the use of the RICE procedure?
What effect does the RICE procedure have on the injury site?
Give an example of an incident when you used or witnessed the RICE treatment being used.
