Discussion Post: Reduce Transportation Costs
In Logistics chapter, we will be discussing different transportation/warehousing strategies and about how companies try to reduce their transportation costs. Here is a strategy from UPS, which might seem controversial at first.
What does UPS claim to be achieving by this new strategy of no-left-turns? Can you provide more examples of companies where they try to reduce transportation costs or reduce customer lead times?
