Eco-Labeling Assignment
Find an example of a product that make some sort of sustainability claim.
Insert picture that shows the claim
Type in any fine print or other information that may be a part of the label or product.
Questions to answer for each product:
1. What does this label mean to you (i.e., how do you interpret the label)?
2. Is it clear and informative, what makes it clear or not?
3. Do you think it is misleading in any way, if yes, how so?
4. Do you think this product should have this label, why or why not? [For this question you should look at the ingredients and packaging and perhaps think about how the product is made and make your argument based on all this information regarding the product]
5. Is the label effective or not? Explain your answer.
6. Is a premium charged for this product?
7. Thinking of the entire product life cycle, rate the product on a scale from 1 (extreme impact to the environment) to 10 (no impact to the environment). Explain why you think the product has the impact you stated.
Thoroughness of answering questions.
Did you analyze the product with a critical eye? Did you show evidence that you researched the product? Readability.
