Problem
The chapter discussed several different ways couples engage in secret testing to test or alter the nature of the relationship. What are some examples of secret testing you have experienced, observed in real life, and/ or have seen in the media? What advantages and disadvantages are associated with different types of secret testing? What does the use of different types of secret testing say about what kind of person you are? Does secret testing work with other types of interpersonal relationships? If so, which ones and how? How does mindful communication play a role in secret testing?
Examples of secret testing are the triangle test, third party testing, separation test, presenting the relationship to outsiders test, indirect suggestions test, endurance test, and a directness test.
