The "South" has many connotations these days. Land of sweat tea, southern fried chicken; a racist pit of backwardness; home of NASCAR; beaches and shagging; southern drawls and debutantes; some of the best and most delicious food anywhere!
What does "The South" mean to you today? Why? (Tell us your connection, if any, to the South, so we can get a fix on you. Because, if a southerner meets you the first thing they ask is, "Where are you from?"
