1) Development Assignment: Choose one theory of human development and one topic of interest in any chapter (Off to school: Cognitive and Physical Development in Middle Childhood). Select a minimum of 3 journal articles to support the selected theory and topic to complete a 4-5 page paper in APA style. The paper should include an APA cover page, content in APA style with correct citations (paraphrased citations should be used more than direct quotes), & an APA style reference list.
2) Use a minimum of 2 peer reviewed journal article from the Tarleton Library Database to complete each discussion board. Specific requirements for each discussion post are listed in the course syllabus.

Topic 1: Research childhood ADHD, treatment options, and impact to education.
Topic 2: What does the research indicate about bullying in school? What measures are being taken to prevent bullying? Who is most likely to be a victim?
Topic 4: Research articles on peer relationships and self esteem. Focus on risk taking behavior and academic performance.
Topic 5: Research 2-3 parenting styles and discuss the the effects on children.
Topic 6: Research the effects of social media in middle childhood. Identify risks to children and effective ways to parent during this developmental stage.
