What does she want you to know or believe

Problem

The overall impact of Grande's memoir made me feel a sensitive resolve to work for something. It made me take my opportunities left for granted. In the book, Grande talks about how when she comes back from visiting Mexico she talks about how she saw the poverty it changed her and seeing how people treated her knowing that she was an AMerican citizen made her want to work harder and achieve her goals. She realized a lot where she knew she could not let the opportunities that her dad gave her left for granted. The siblings seem to take the opportunities left for granted. Overall, the writer made me feel like I should always take my opportunities importantly because the struggles are always hard, but having to work hard to achieve your goals can benefit yourself and your future.

i. What does Grande want you, as a reader, to take away from reading about her life? What does she want you to know or believe? What does she want you to do?

ii. How do Grande's appeals to your emotions make you more likely to know or believe what she wants you to?
