We listened to Katori Hall's The Mountaintop, a fictional play, based on a real historical figure that imagines the last hours of Dr. MLK's life. In this play, the playwright mixes a historical event with elements of magic realism (fantasy) to discuss the life and legacy of MLK, a historical figure and social justice icon.
• What did you think of this play? Did it allow you to see another side of MLK? Did it help you appreciate his work/legacy? Explain.
