1. Economists know very little about the best way to try to help a less-developed country to attain a rapid growth rate. What are the major points on which most development economists might agree? What do you think the developed nations could do to promote the economic growth of the less-developed countries? Discuss.
2. What do you think of the vicious circle of underdevelopment? Is it a valid theory? If it is valid, how can the vicious circle possibly be broken? How did the developed nations break it? Discuss.
