Discussion Post: Sociology

In the reading (by Ritzer), the author argues that while McDonalizded society is all about efficiency, calculability, predictability and control, the truth is that in actuality, we live in a world that is increasingly inefficient, unpredictable, incalculable and one in which we loose control. Furthermore, Ritzer argues, the biggest "irrationality of rationality" lies in the fact that we are living in an increasingly dehumanized world. In your own words and using examples, explain his point. What do you think of his argument and why?
