A survey that asked citizens if they had been stopped by the police during the past year found that an estimated 45 million residents age sixteen or older-about 21 percent of all persons this age-had at least one face-to-face contact with police during the year. Do you think this number/rate is higher or lower than average? Please explain why.
2. What do you think are some of the issues association with the problem of 'police stress'? In other words, how might stress affect a police officer's interaction with offenders? Victims? Other criminal justice personnel?
