After reading about adoption, think about what you have read, and choose one of the following questions to answer:
1. What do you see as the pros and cons of adoption?
2. Would you consider adoption as an option (either as a birth parent OR an adoptive parent)? Explain why or why not.
3. In the past, most adoptions were closed adoptions. Currently, most adoptions are open to some degree. Why do you think that open adoptions have become the norm? What are the benefits to open adoption? Are there times that a closed adoption might be better? If so, when?
