What do you do in the situation


Problem

(Escalation of Care) You enter a room and notice your patient is not responding to your introduction. On closer observation you discover that they are cyanotic with shallow breaths, there pallor is pale and unresponsive, what do you do in this situation?

I have come up with this sequence

DRSABC, Commence A-G assessment, check responsiveness with external stimuli Trapeezius squeeze?, are pupils constricted, PEARL? rapid response in ISBAR format and notify nurse in charge rapid response has been called, nurse initiate oxygen VIA NRBM/commence basic life support? Document, debrief, reflect and seek counseling?
