Case Study

Wilson and Cameron had crashed a party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Jones the parents of one of their classmates. The Jones had invited about 25 guests but about 175 people crashed the party, creating a chaotic scene. Wilson and Cameron had already been drinking and brought more alcohol to drink at the party. Although there was a wine punch at the party, Wilson and Cameron had not drunk much (if any) of it. After leaving the party, Wilson fell off a truck and suffered severe brain damage. Cameron who was clearly drunk had been driving the truck. Wilson sued the Jones claiming they were negligent.
