An introduction to Performance Management.
Various wide-ranging discussions have taken place about what performance management is and what it is not. Heathfield (2018) stated that "performance management is the process of creating a work environment or setting in which people are enabled to perform to the best of these abilities" (para. 3).
For this week's discussion forum, please answer the following questions:
1. What do you believe a performance management system is? Why?

3. Why are performance management systems important to organizations?
