Problem: Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as social workers, requires us to know who we are as people. Who are our old people? What have they taught us? How do we know what do we know about the world around us and it's peoples? From what lens do I view the world?
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being and doing and asking you to think about your own ways of knowing, being and doing. Whether you are an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person, a person of colour or a white person, we will be asking you to think about your own positionality, what that means for you and what that means for your work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
