These include any one of the following: "The Epic of Gilgamesh," from ancient Babylonian mythology, "Funerary Rites of the Toradja," from Tana Torajan mythology, "A Polynesian Orpheus," from Maori mythology, "A Californian Orpheus," from Tachi Yokut mythology, and "Muhammad Speaks of the Day of Doom," from Muslim mythology. Construct a 1000-word essay which answers the following questions:
1. What theme(s) associated with death does this myth address - the inevitability of death, re-incarnation, the afterlife, orphic myths, or the end of the world?
2. What do the views of death and the afterlife expressed in this myth say about the culture from which the myth originates?
