Task 1: For this task you need to write a 550 word essay about the following: ( AC 1.1)
Choose a business organisation within each of the different sectors of industry- private, public and voluntary and explain/detail the following
• What defines each of the different sectors of industry and what are its features
• Give at least one example of an organisation in each sector and explain its relevance
Then explain:-
• The legal environment in which business organisations operate
• The personal liabilities relevant to different business organisations in each sector
• The stakeholders involved in these organisations
Task 2:
Research the various functions/departments of a business organisation of your choice and in your own words, write a 400 to 550 word summaryanalysing the purpose and activities of 5 of the main functions and functional areas of your chosen business organisation. ( A C 2.1)
For this task you should consider the following:
• Different functions/departments of a business organisation of your choice and analyse its purpose and activities
• In your summary state and justify the main functions of all organisations that you consider to be most important
Task 3: See both parts below.
Part 1
In groups of two to 4 students, prepare and deliver a Power Point Presentation of about 10 minutes, showing a diagram of the organisation's structure (organogram) and then analysethis structure.
Part 2
Using another and different real business organogram compare,contrast and analyse the organisational structures of the two different organisations.
Use the notes section in the power point to show evidence of your analysis and evaluation
