Discussion Post: Cross-Cultural Management
Consider what cross-cultural experiences you have had in your professional experience (or if needed, personal experience). Describe any situation that you have experienced or observed, in which there was some kind of miscommunication that you think had to do with cultural differences.
Task
• What happened? What were the different cultures present?
• What cultural value or orientation was evident? (e.g. individualism/collectivism, high/low power distance, high/low context in communication, time orientation, etc.)
• What could have prevented the miscommunication?
