Problem
The film "Minority Report," a 2002 film starring Tom Cruise. The film concerns a unique device (people, actually) that allows crime to be stopped before it actually begins, so to speak. "Minority Report" is both a science fiction movie and a thriller, and poses some interesting questions about free will, and the use of technology to snoop on everyone's activities. After watching this scene and consideration of the criminal law material, please answer the following question:
Disregarding what Tom Cruise says to the guy he arrested, what crime would that same guy have committed in our legal system, assuming the same situation, and why? (Hint: it's not battery because he didn't touch her.)
