What cognitive behavior therapy focuses on

Problem:

Response to: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) focuses on transforming and realigning a client's negative thinking patterns and differentiate the unhealthy over healthy thoughts, while challenging the client to rethink their negative thoughts and focus in on the positive thoughts that will help the client process their emotions correctly to improve their overall wel-being of life and promote permanent change to their thought patterns, (Psychology Writing, 2024). Person Centered Therapy (PCT) is a form of therapy that social workers use to get a client to hone in on their issues and focus on positive changes they can strive towards themselves and this allows a client to achieve a greater level of understanding. These two forms of therapy combined together makes sure a client is participating in their own healing and growth, An example I would implement in my treatment plan both methods of therapy with providing my clients with focusing in on their thoughts, feelings and behaviors and what is triggering these negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors to take place, but meanwhile I would implement PCT since this method gives the client a sense of becoming their own expert in their lives and taking charge against the negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors and addressing what should be done in order to steer away from the negativity and keep the positive interventions on standby. I am a huge fan of journaling, so I would encourage my clients to journal the different feelings. Need Assignment Help?
