From the play sojourners, Compare and contrast the characters of Abasiama and Ukpong. Abasiama came to the United State to get an education and plans on returning to her homeland. Ukpong discovers that he wants to become an American and stay in the United States. In preparing your response, consider the following questions: First, what is the writer trying to say about the differences in Nigerian and American cultures and lifestyles through these characters? Second, what choice does the writer think is better; returning to Nigeria with an education, or becoming an American?
