Discussion Post: Concept of Healthcare Organizations
Building an effective team is crucial for success as an office manager. Sometimes, we perceive that the office team we are a part of is effective, but the office manager might think the team is not so effective. It is possible that your perception of effectiveness or success may change based on whether you are the employee or the manager. Thinking back on a job you have had or currently have, reflect on what characteristics make a good team member. For this discussion, answer the following:
a) Think about a real-life example of working within a team in a work setting. What characteristics of the team's members made the team effective?
b) If you were the manager of this team, would you still have thought the team was effective?
